15 June, 2017 | The role of renewable gases in a smart low-carbon energy system - EUSEW
Résidence Palace, Salle Passage, Brussels

Join our event at the EU Sustainable Energy Week to explore the potential contribution of green gas to a low carbon energy system.
The EU has clear target for decarbonising its energy mix. While the potential role that renewable electricity can play in this is quite well understood, less is known about the potential of renewable gases.
The key stakeholder groups in this field are brought together on a European basis for the first time: the biogas and biomethane producers, the hydrogen producers, the distribution gas grid operators and the gas suppliers.
The event fits within the process of reviewing the Renewable Energy Directive and it is also very relevant for the upcoming reviews of energy efficiency and buildings legislation.
Speakers will be asked to set out what concrete measures might be included in the Directives to help accommodate these green gases in the system.
The registration to the EUSEW week is already open. Please inform CEDEC of your registration to the event.
