The ENTRUST project is coordinated by the Cleaner Production Promotion Unit (CPPU), a research group based within the School of Engineering, University College Cork. CPPU comprises a multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and social scientists. The group conducts research on the sustainability of socio-technical systems (e.g., built environment, energy); sustainable consumption; governance for sustainability; and the broader human aspects of sustainable development.
The interdisciplinary nature of the project is illustrated by the involvement of UCC’s Institute of Social Science for the 21st Century (ISS21). ISS21 members are an integral component of the UCC team and bring a broad range of disciplinary backgrounds and many complementary perspectives to the project.
LJMU’s Environment Research Group is focused on developing ways of understanding how people interact with the natural and urban environment, with particular interest on the land-water-energy ‘nexus’, biodiversity and cities. Contributing to the ENTRUST project, LJMU’s expertise will support efforts to identify sustainable transition models to a low carbon energy system.
REDINN is a European consulting company specialising in innovation consulting, management, and innovation strategy for researchers, SMEs and RTD projects. As part of its contribution to ENTRUST, REDINN leads the dissemination and exploitation activities of the project.
Founded in 2005, LGI Consulting is a European innovation-driven business consultancy focused on value creation along four business lines: Innovation Strategy, Management Consulting, Digital Solutions, and Communication & Design. On the ENTRUST project, LGI is taking a lead role in policy analysis contributing to the consortium’s understanding of the policy and regulation landscapes in each of the five countries being studied.
STAM s.r.l., a private engineering company offering a broad range of consultancy services, including Industry and Automation, Energy, Transport, ICT, and R&D and Innovation. Its contribution to the ENTRUST project includes leading the Mapping of Energy System Work Package, which focuses on developing an energy actor-network typology and the characterisation of current and emerging technologies.
